WHY CLEAN YOUR COMFORTER PROFESSIONALLY?

FRESHER SLEEP, HEALTHIER HOME

Most home washers cannot handle a king comforter. It comes out unevenly cleaned and clumped. Professional cleaning removes dust mites, allergens, pet dander, and body oils that build up over time. We recommend cleaning your comforter every 3 to 6 months.

COMFORTER CLEANING FAQ

Straight answers from the counter. Updated August 2026.

What types of bedding do you clean?
We clean comforters, quilts, duvets, blankets, bedspreads, and throws. All sizes from twin to California king are welcome.
Do dry cleaners wash comforters?
We do. Comforters get cleaned and fluffed for $25.05, any size, and they take 2 days. Down or fiberfill, king or twin, same price.
How much does it cost to dry clean a comforter?
$25.05 at our shop, any size. A king costs the same as a twin and down costs the same as fiberfill. It takes 2 days. Most cleaners price bedding by size. We charge one flat price.
How long does comforter cleaning take?
Comforters and quilts take 2 days. These items require extra care and drying time to ensure they come back fresh and fluffy.
Can you clean a king-size comforter?
Yes. We clean all sizes including king and California king comforters. Our equipment handles oversized bedding with no problem.
Do you clean pillows?
No, pillows are the one bedding item we don't take. Comforters, quilts, duvets, blankets, and bedspreads are all welcome.
Is the cleaning process safe for delicate fabrics?
Yes. We use an eco-friendly cleaning process that is gentle on fabrics while effectively removing dirt, allergens, and odors. Safe for down, synthetic fill, and cotton.
Can you wash a comforter at home?
Sometimes. A twin or full with synthetic fill usually does fine in a large-capacity washer on the gentle cycle. The test is fit: if it drops into the drum loosely, go ahead. If you have to stuff it down, the middle never gets clean and the fill bunches up. That is the point where people bring it to us.
Can you wash a down comforter at home?
You can, but down is unforgiving. Wet down clumps, takes hours to dry, and smells musty if any of it stays damp. If you try it, use a front-loader, mild detergent, and low heat until it is completely dry inside. If that sounds like a whole afternoon, it is. We do it for $25.05.
How do you dry a down comforter?
Low heat and patience. Add a couple of dryer balls or clean tennis balls to break up clumps, and pull it out every 30 minutes to shake the fill apart. Keep going until it is bone dry in the middle. Damp fill is why comforters come out of storage smelling sour.
How often should you wash a comforter?
Every 3 to 6 months with nightly use. Sooner if pets sleep on the bed or someone has been sick. A duvet insert protected by a cover can go longer. Wash the cover itself about once a month.
What is the difference between a duvet and a comforter?
A duvet is an insert made to go inside a cover. A comforter is one finished piece, no cover. We clean both for the same $25.05, any size.
Can you get stains and pet hair out of a comforter?
Usually, yes. Show us the spot at drop-off and we note it on the ticket. Body oils, sweat, pet accidents, and most food and drink marks come out with our process. A stain that has set in for months is harder, and we will tell you straight at the counter what to expect.
